The 13th International Conference on Database Systems for Advanced Applications
March 19-21 at India International Center, New Delhi
DASFAA is an annual international database conference, located in
the Asia-Pacific region, which showcases state-of-the-art R & D
activities in database systems and their applications. It provides a
forum for technical presentations and discussions among database
researchers, developers and users from academia, business and industry.
The DASFAA-2008 conference, 13th in the series, will be held in New
Delhi, India, during March 2008.

Workshop on Human Computer Interaction, April 28th 2006, in TCS Towers –
Gurgaon
A workshop was held on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) on 28th April 2006 at iLab,
TCS-Delhi, Gurgaon. Well-known researchers from IIT Delhi, IIIT Hyderabad and TCS
participated in the workshop. This workshop highlighted ongoing research in Human
Computer interfaces such as Activity Recognition, Hand-written script recognition,
multimedia information access, information visualization, tackling Indian languages etc.
Discussions were carried out on possible relationships between the areas, and suggestions
for future research.
Workshop on Next Generation Enterprise Architectures – Service Oriented
Architectures, Software as a Service and Web 2.0, October 10th, 2006, in TCS
Towers – Gurgaon
A workshop was held on Next Generation Enterprise Architecture on 10th October 2006
at iLab, TCS-Delhi, Gurgaon. Well-known researchers from IIT Mumbai, IIT Delhi, DAIICT
Gandhinagar and TCS participated in the workshop. This workshop highlighted
ongoing research in service oriented architectures’, web 2.0, and ‘software as a service’
solutions being explored by enterprise business units to provide an alternative to the
traditional enterprise software model.
